Assalamu alaikum, I'm Omar.
I'm a software engineer in Amman, Jordan. I design, build and look after Islamy myself — from the first line of code to the adhan on your phone.
An engineer who ships end to end.
I'm a senior React Native and full-stack JavaScript engineer. I build mobile and web products end to end — from the interface you touch to the servers behind it.
Islamy is the project closest to me. It isn't a client project — it's the app I build for my own daily worship, and for every Muslim who wants the same. I've been shipping it, release by release, since 2022.

Make daily worship calmer and easier.
To give every Muslim one trustworthy companion for the day — the prayer on time, the Qur'an close at hand, remembrance that never feels like a chore — built with the care these things deserve.
Free, without ads — for goodمجاني وبلا إعلانات — دائماً
Worship shouldn't come with banners, paywalls or sponsored lines. Islamy is free, and it stays that way.
Accuracy before anything else
Official ministry timetables where they exist, your country's own convention everywhere else, and minute-level adjustments to match your mosque.
Respect for your attention
No account, no clutter, no noise. What you need works offline, and your location is only used to calculate prayer times.
Care for the Qur'an and for Arabic
The mushaf set page by page as it was printed, and Arabic treated as a first language of the app — not a translation of it.
Born from a personal need.
I wanted one place for the things I reach for every day: the adhan, the mushaf, the morning and evening adhkar, the Qibla. The apps I found were crowded with ads, asked me to sign up, or gave prayer times that didn't match my mosque.
So I started building the app I wished existed. It has grown release by release — official timetables, 39 reciters, home-screen widgets, and now the adhan styles and iqama countdown of version 3.0.
Every feature is weighed against one question: does it make worship easier, or just busier? If it only makes it busier, it doesn't ship.
I hope Islamy can be a sadaqah jariyah — work whose benefit continues long after it's written.
