Omar Sukarieh built the Islamy app as a free app. This service is provided at no cost and is intended for use as is. This page informs visitors of my policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information for anyone who uses the service. If you use Islamy, you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy.

Information collection and use

For a better experience, the app may ask you to provide certain personally identifiable information (for example, your location for prayer times). Except for the optional Prayer-time improvement feature described below, all such information is retained on your device and is not collected by me in any way.

The app may use third-party services that have their own privacy policies — for example Google Play Services.

Prayer-time improvement (optional, off by default)

تحسين مواقيت الصلاة (اختياري، مُعطّل افتراضيًا)

Islamy lets you manually adjust each prayer time by a few minutes to match your local mosque. To help improve the calculated times for everyone, the app includes an optional “Help improve prayer times” feature. It is turned off by default. You can turn it on or off at any time in Settings → Prayer Times, and you are also asked once, the first time you save an adjustment.

يتيح لك إسلامي تعديل وقت كل صلاة بضع دقائق ليطابق مسجدك المحلي. وللمساعدة في تحسين الأوقات المحسوبة للجميع، يتضمّن التطبيق ميزة اختيارية باسم «ساعد في تحسين أوقات الصلاة». وهي مُعطّلة افتراضيًا. يمكنك تفعيلها أو إيقافها في أي وقت من الإعدادات ← أوقات الصلاة، كما يُطلب منك ذلك مرة واحدة عند أول حفظ لتعديل.

When — and only when — this feature is enabled and you save a prayer-time adjustment, the app sends an anonymous submission containing: the per-prayer minute adjustments you set; your country and city and your device’s location (GPS coordinates), used to match the adjustment to your local mosque; the calculation settings the adjustment was based on (such as calculation method and madhab); and basic technical information (platform and app version). The submission is linked only to a random, anonymous device identifier — it does not include your name, email, account, or contacts.

This data is used solely to understand where our computed or official times differ from local mosques so we can improve prayer times for a given area. It does not change the prayer times shown on your own device. Turning the feature off in Settings stops any further submissions.

تُستخدم هذه البيانات حصريًا لفهم المواضع التي تختلف فيها أوقاتنا المحسوبة أو الرسمية عن المساجد المحلية، حتى نحسّن مواقيت الصلاة في منطقة معيّنة. وهي لا تغيّر مواقيت الصلاة المعروضة على جهازك. وإيقاف الميزة من الإعدادات يوقف أي إرسال لاحق.

Log data

In the event of an error inside the app, data and information may be collected on your phone through third-party diagnostic products (called Log Data). This may include your device’s IP address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app at the time of the error, and the time and date of use.

في حال وقوع خطأ داخل التطبيق، قد تُجمع بيانات ومعلومات على هاتفك عبر منتجات تشخيص خارجية (تُسمى Log Data). قد تتضمّن عنوان IP الخاص بجهازك، واسم الجهاز، وإصدار نظام التشغيل، وإعدادات التطبيق عند وقوع الخطأ، وتاريخ ووقت الاستخدام.

Islamy itself does not use cookies. The companion website at islamyapp.com uses only the minimum local storage needed to remember your language preference — no tracking cookies, no analytics cookies.

لا يستخدم تطبيق إسلامي ملفّات تعريف ارتباط. الموقع المُرافق islamyapp.com يستخدم فقط الحدّ الأدنى من التخزين المحلي اللازم لتذكّر تفضيل اللغة — بلا ملفّات تعقّب أو تحليلات.

Service providers

I may employ third-party companies for the following limited reasons: to facilitate the service, to provide the service on my behalf, to perform service-related tasks, or to help analyze how the service is used. These third parties have access only to the information needed to perform their tasks and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

I value your trust in providing personal information. I use commercially acceptable means of protecting it, but no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure.

Children’s privacy

Islamy is not directed at children under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided personal information, please contact me so I can delete it.

إسلامي ليس موجّهًا للأطفال دون سن الثالثة عشرة. ولا أجمع معلومات شخصية عن قصد من الأطفال دون سن الثالثة عشرة. إن علمتَ أنّ طفلًا قدّم معلومات شخصية، فيرجى التواصل معي لحذفها.
